Rainy 75 Thoughts after a little use

PROS

  1. Colors - looks amazing.
  2. Hot swap. Like this more than I thought I would. I can mix switches types on board.
  3. VIA - Software. Can remap 75% Right col keys and store in firmware on board. I couldn't use 75% without this. I refuse to install software that needs to run all the time for remap and macros.

CONS

  1. Weight. Before purchasing I had no idea it would be this heavy. I think it's 20 pounds? For a desk only user I guess this would be a pro. I move my keyboards around. Not mobile.
  2. Sound. Most people like linear, quiet. Turns out I like clicky. The 8bitdo keyboards have clicky echo sounds that I prefer. I think the plastic helps the thoc click for me.

Next Keyboard

I think a 75% light weight plastic, hot swappable, via software compatability, 3 BT Device would be best. Even though I love typing on the 8 bit dos, the colors suck, The top rows knobs fall off the TKL is too big, and single device bluetooth. I still don't know if the software for 8 bit do can remap on board or not.
