Keycaps
- Switches are greatly impacted by the keycaps used.
- On the rainy 75 the HMX Violet Linear's sound and feel different when I use different non default keycaps.
Stems
- The box stems are the most stable among more keycaps. I like these the most.
- Circle is next most stable.
- The + (MX) stems are the least stable depending on keycap.
5 pin or 3 pin
5 pin is better than 3 pin. More stable. Only two of the pins are metal. There is always a center plastic post but with 5 pin there are 2 side plastic posts adding to stability. 5 pin seems to work on all my boards so just get 5 pin if you buy switches.HMX Violet Linear
Similiar to reds I used in the past. Short Actuation. I love these when paired with the Rainy 75 default keycaps. Not as much when I swapped to atomic purple keycaps.Kaihl Box White V2
If I hadn't gotten the 8bitdo key board I never would have realized how much I prefer clicky. For main letter and number keys on the wobkey I will for now stick with the HMX Violet Linears. But for most surrounding Keys like Delete, Ctrl, etc. I swapped with clicky. I pulled most Kaihl Box W hite V2s out of 8bit do for this. I threw the HMX Violet linears in the 8 bit do instead where I pulled out a Box White V2.Razer Green Clicky V3
Purchased 36 from Best Buy for 25$ (15$ + 10$ off cert). With an actuation point of 1.9mm at just 50g of actuation force. The loudest clicky's I have ever heard. Even more clicky than all the Kaihl clicky's I have tried. They are good.Kailh Box Night Firefly
