2D VS 3D

Playing around with settings the frst thing I am noticing is the best settings for a 3d game do NOT work for a 2D game. So we need two basic sets of settings for ps1 games.

DuckStation

Resolution

  1. Most PS1 games run at a native resolution around 320x200 pixels.
  2. 2x resolution: When set to "2x," the game would be rendered at 640x400 pixels, effectively doubling the pixel count in both width and height.
  3. 4x would be 1280X800.
  4. 6X would be 1920X1200.
  5. I would have thought 6X makes sense for 1080p
  6. But I tried higher for 3d games and it did improve gfx
  7. But from what I read it doesn't help 2d games
