Lenovo Tab M7 Pegaus

Summary

The Pegaus FE is extremely sluggish on the tab m7.

I noticed the slowest is FBA and it is using different sized images for boxfront. Pretty sure this is slowing down the UI rendering. I recommend switching to thumb where images are all same size. I noticed in a recent media scrape this got added and it's purpose is to speed up fe rendering where we display images for selection. I am moving all thumb/cover images to internal storage. Eventually we should replace cover with thumb as those image seem more consistent and are the same as cover.

Internal eMMC 5.1 chip

The internal eMMC storage is 2-3X fast sequential and 7-26X faster random. I put a cheaper 128 GB SD Card in for external storage. I would imagine if we move boxfront media to internal storage pegasus fe feel more snappy. I will put a flag for the pegsus metadata converter powershell. 11 Gb Free of 23 GB Internal avail. 12 GB of images.

Nexus 7 comparison

I didn't not notice this slowness on the Nexus 7 but that is only using internal storage. Of course that holds much less as well so most lists are smaller.
