I love the looks of these keycaps. But the feel seems off. Probably just going to use for peripheral keys. Think I am putting my rainy 75 cherrys back. |

The concave craters on these keycaps are super deep. Guessing more thant standard sa. Still once I got used to them they are awesome. They do take a little while to get used to though. |
Keycaps
- Obviously, Keycaps can vastly change the look of they keyboard. However they also greatly impact typing sound and typing feel.
- On the rainy 75 the HMX Violet Linear's sound and feel very different when I use MDA Profile dagaladoo keycaps VS Cherry Profile default keycaps.
- While MDA Profile dagaladoo look better, they do not feel or sound as good and the default rainy 75 cherry profiles.
- It somehow loses that rainy sound and I guess I prefer the angles of the cherry profile.
- The dagaladoo somehow seem slippery, and I noticed I mis-type the wrong keys more on it.
- Even the plastic used can greatly impact feel.
- Another example I got some razer green clicky's that alone are the quietest clickys I have. For some reason when paired with the dagaladoo changes to the loudest. It's nutz how loud it gets. It's like it echoes inside the keycaps. gonna need to experiment more witth that.
Profiles
Key cap profiles dictate height shape and angles of the key caps. It's amazing how much this can completely change the feeling of the typing on a keyboard. Just as important as switch type.
- OEM. Medium Height, angled top, and lower rows
- Cherry. Medium to low height. Lower than OEM. Flatter top row. Angled lower rows. This improves typing feel so as fingers turn back more direct hit on key.
- MDA. FLAT. No Angles. Looks great. Feels worse.
Matarials Used
- Dye Sub PBT
- Double Shot ABS
- Textured Plastic. I got some cheap plasic Keycaps sets from china a while back and I really dig the texture. Somehow grip was increased when typing on them. They felt better to type on than smooth plastic IMO.
- Ceramic. Expensive. Never tried. Some people say they feel amazing.
dagaladoo transparent MDA Profile
- 20$ Per set
- Got reds and purples on 2025-09-01

- MDA Profile - Flat No angle looks great, but does not feel as good as cherry profile to type on as angled.
- Visibility is awesome on these. The white letter print is better than the rainy 75's default. Sometimes I could not make those keys out. These are super clear.
- Polycarbonate Plastic - Smooth and slippery. Almost sweaty.
