Resolutions

  1. Text on my older A53 looks larger than on my newer z fold 8
  2. Older a53 is 2400 X 1080 Pixels (405 ppi) 2.52 inche
  3. Z Fold 8 Cover Dislay is 1972 x 1248 pixels (428 ppi) 2.68 inches
  4. My Z-Fold 8 display is physically wider. So why is text smaller?
  5. It's the ppi

  3. Screen Zoom
  4. Default notch is 1/4
  5. I had to change to 3/4 on z fold 8 to match 1/4 on a53
  6. I think this is like what we have to do on windows for 4k.

Screen zoom from 1/4 to 3/4 seems to make them matchThat makes perfect sense mathematically! Moving the slider from 1/4 to 3/4 effectively increases the content scale by about 20% to 25%, which perfectly offsets the difference in pixel density and aspect ratio between the two devices. Why this worksPixel Density Match: The Galaxy A53 runs at 405 PPI, while the Z Fold 8 Cover Screen is slightly denser at 428 PPI. Bumping up the screen zoom compensates for those extra pixels per inch.Layout Width Alignment: By increasing the zoom to 3/4, you are forcing the Z Fold 8 to render fewer "logical pixels" across its wider physical screen, bringing the actual physical size of text and buttons in line with what you are used to seeing on the A53.
