Keychron V1 MAX Lighting
RGB Lighting FX
For some reason lighting is barely documented on keychrons. Rainy 75 documented the list of FX. Best I could find was the following in the JSON file
Reactive
The Reactives are the only ones that Interest Me.
- Reactive Simple
- Reactive Multiwide
- Reactive Multinexus
Reactive Simple lights only the key pressed for a couple seconds after being pressed. This should use the least amount of battery while giving nice feedback.
I like this one the most. Reactive Multiwide lights keys around the key pressed. Reactive Multinexus shoots lines out virtally and horizontally from key presed. The last two are over kill. Stick with Reactive Simple.
RGB Lighting Function Key Controls
- FN+Tab -> RGB Toggle. turn back light on and off.
- FN + Q -> Mode+, Increase backlight mode Number
- FN + A -> Mode-, Descrease backlight mode Number
- FN + W -> BR+, Increase backlight brightness Number
- FN + S -> BR-, Decrease backlight brightness Number
- Fn+E Hue+, hue increase
- Fn+D Hue-, hue decrease
- Fn+R Sat+, saturation increase
- Fn+F Sat-, saturation decrease
- Fn+T Es+, speed increase
- Fn+G Es-, speed decrease.
Mode
Use FN + Q to get to Reactive Simple, 18.
Brightness
Use FN + W to make as bright as possible.
Hue
FN+E and FN+D.
Red to Purple works best with the red Keycaps.
Saturation Amaount
FN+R to use as much color saturation as possible. White doesn't look as good even though we use colored keycaps.
Speed
Fn+T to decrease how long light stays lit after being pressed.
Fn+G to increase how long light stays lit after being pressed.
This one I like in the middle. I do not like it too long or too short.
Layer 3
Layer 3 is for windows function Key Presses. We can see the RGB Toggle, Mode+, Hue+, etc. There arfe 11 Functions Keys that control lighting FX on the fly.
