Turn off device

Select and start are the small buttons near the top of the device. Not sure if power physical button works or what it does. Need to test.

Exit Game

Select and start are the small buttons near the top of the device. Press both together to get prompt that says press it again to exit game and get back to Emulation Station Menu.

Emulation Station Front End Controls

My preference for ES is right most buton to select (enter) and bottom button for back or cancel is pre-configured correctly out of the box. Normally on NES B is the right most button and A is the bottom button but this seems to have X Box labels where A is really B and B is really A. No matter just ignore the labels on the buttons. it works as expected for Emulation Station.

While in Game Select + X enters retroarch quick menu.
