RGB30 Battery

Charging

  1. Only charges while device is completely OFF.
  2. 2 Types C ports. Make sure you plug into USB port NOT OTG Port.
  3. Getting this device to charge is tricky.
  4. Would not charge with my anker over smart fast charging cable
  5. I think the charge must be less than 2 amps.
  6. It does charge over dumb cable on dumb port type A on side. Shows 3.5 amps output.
  7. Can take a long time to charge.

Battery

  1. After getting a full change and shutting down original firmware with JELLOS the battery went to zero in one day.
  2. Postive even off this was draining batter with JELLOS.
  3. Shutting down ARKOS from ES System Shut down did work. Did not use for Day and battery showed 100%

Turning off

  1. Confirmed shutting down from ES Menu works and does not drain power
  2. Single clicking physical power button on top right of device by default turns off display but leaves green light on

Sleep Mode

  1. Single Clicking power button enters sleep mode
  2. This turns off display but keeps light green
  3. Still drains power, guessing CPU is still running
  4. I have changed behavior to use ArkOS Quick Mode

ArkOS Quick mode

  1. Documented here Retro Handheld Guides
  2. Quick Mode -> system to automatically create a save state when you press the power button
  3. Options -> Advanced menu with “enable quick mode”.
  4. Combine this with setting the power button to turn the device off rather than sleep by pressing the Start button -> Advanced Settings -> Switch Power Button Tap to Off
  5. Confirmed works. Single Press to save and shutdown.
  6. On hard boot goes stright back into game.
  7. To get back into ES use select + Start.
  8. The works like garlic OS which is nice.
