Emulation VSync

Every emulator has a VSync on off option and by far this is the most common setting that caused stuttering and slow down problems. I think it works OK if the Monitor Supports VRR. Variable Rate Refresh.

Vizio P55-F1

I had to turn of V-Sync for pretty much every emulator for this TV so wanted to reseach this a little more. For some reason turning on Full UHD Color fixes it? What is Full HD Color setting on the Vizio P-55 F1 TV?

Full UHD Color

Enables the HDMI port to utilize the full 18 Gbps bandwidth of HDMI 2.0. This allows for enhanced video formats, including 4K resolution at 60Hz with higher color depths and chroma subsampling, which are essential for displaying HDR content and achieving optimal picture quality. Enabling this setting is particularly beneficial when connecting devices like 4K Blu-ray players, gaming consoles (e.g., PS5, Xbox Series X), or high-end streaming devices that support HDR formats such as Dolby Vision or HDR10.

HDMI Ports

Only HDMI ports 1 through 4 on the P55-F1 support Full UHD Color and HDR features. HDMI port 5 does not support these features but offers lower input lag, making it suitable for SDR gaming.

Troublshooting

Ensure you're using high-speed HDMI cables rated for 18 Gbps to handle the increased data bandwidth. Some users have reported that the Full UHD Color option may appear grayed out. If this occurs, try the following steps: Turn off all connected devices and the TV. Connect your HDR-compatible device directly to the desired HDMI port. Power on the device first, then the TV. Navigate to the input settings and enable Full UHD Color. Once enabled, you can rearrange your HDMI connections as needed. If you experience issues like a "No Signal" message after enabling Full UHD Color, verify that your connected device supports HDMI 2.0 and HDR output. Additionally, consider disabling HDMI-CEC (Consumer Electronics Control) if conflicts arise.

Rerfresh Rate

I think on HDMI 1 over PC I saw refresh rate of 60HZ. I think changing to Full UHD Color might have changed refresh rate to 120HZ. For whatever reason on the XBOX Emu VSync on works OK with Full UHD Color On. When It's off it's unplayable with sound stutters and horrible lag. Not a fan of the setting name since it is not just about color. I think they key thing is it enables HDMI 2.0 and Much higher bandwidth. The only reason to turn it off is if connecting a really old HDMI 1.0 Device. In that case it will just be a black screen.
